Our recommended way to play dominoes at GameColony.com is: using our new non-Java dominoes blue app or green app
Our recommended web browser: Google Chrome
You can also play GameColony dominoes on mobile devices using native Dominoes app for Android and Dominoes app for iOS.
Java applets are on their way out the door as many web browsers are either limiting their support for Java applets or dropping it.
To play our games using Java applets, please do NOT use Google Chrome browser or Windows 10 Edge browser - these browsers cannot display Java games at this time.
For Java: please use one of the following browsers : Internet Explorer, FireFox or Safari.
To quickly diagnose if Java is working correctly, check if you see your Java version is listed HERE.
If Java version does not appear (if you only see horizontal lines), your Java is not working correctly. Please install Java from www.java.com
After Java is installed, upon 1st entry to Java game rooms, you'd be asked to install GameColony Java 8 add-on. Please ignore any warnings during add-on installation and restart your browser after the installation.
Note: 1. It is easier to install Java add-on using Internet Explorer - NOT FireFox.
2. Every time new Java version gets installed manually or automatically, you'll need to re-install Java add-on.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
